That guitar is worth at least $3,000 without Mike's name on it. Aside from the plastic bride, which can easily be replaced, it's probably an amazing sounding guitar. This is actually my dream guitar (minus the plastic bridge of course), and I haven't been able to find one for under 3 or 4k.

Why is he selling so many guitars? I would love to have just one, but don't see that happening! He must have a shit load of them, cuz he uses so many on stage too! I guess get rid of the old and make room for the new! Hey, Mike I know what you can do with the old ones, give them to one of your die hard fans !
Don't look so sad...

Jesus, I cannot believe this guitar is already at 3800 and still 3 days left. This is the problem I have with ebay....I think its creating a new generation of holics....bidaholics. you post a really good ad like this and all the little teany-boppers want to get in on the bidding so they can feel important knowing they can never follow through and drive the price way up past its true value. This is were the concept of deadbeat bidders comes in.

Mike is probably just like a lot of us musicians, he has way too much gear and just wants to streamline. Ive got a shitload of stuff ive been meaning to sell and its hard to part with. Kinda like you keeping all your old birthday cards from your friends....you want to shitcan them, but something keeps you from doing it.

I've seen plenty of those in the same condition as Mike's go for less then 2000$...so...they are still out there and available.
A closet-clean non-celebrity-owned model can easily go for 3500-4000$, but I've also seen the much nicer mid 50s Model with the deep dark sunburst, the prettier, smaller pickguard and the more-rounded shoulders go for less than Mike's on eBay.
That vintage thing has imho been going out of hands in the last decade or two...I'd much rather invest the amount in a Custom Shop Gibson Acoustic than an old beat up one that has checking and cracks all over.

I know what the guitar is worth. Im curious to see what it goes off at. It will be inflated is my point. I dont think mikes name on it makes a whole lot of difference in the value, only the coolness factor. Now if it had jimi Hendrix or John Lennon, there would certainly be a premium on the price. I agree it probably sounds amazing though and i would love to bid on it. I only would bid on it though if i knew for sure i could follow through. I have listed several Les Pauls over the years on ebay and a few times people have bid on them with no intention of actually buying it and it drives the price up past what a real buyer is willing to pay.

damn, just as i thought, its now inflated up to $4550. I think im going to hold off listing my Boss ds-1 pedal for a few years. Its worth about $30 now, but when when (if) my band gets famous, all I have to do is autograph it and sell it for $500.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Well whoever won this is a fan. It seems he has more money than brains, due to the fact he bought all them burned cds from that loser.(check out his other auctions) But if I had the money I would love to buy a guitar off Mike. I would have loved to have bought his motorcycle he had a few years back also.
